Parking Etiquette

Staff and Accessible Parking: Please do not park in staff spaces or accessible spots unless you have a valid placard or are on the Harbor View payroll.

Accessible Spaces: Several students rely on these spots daily. Cars without proper placards will be ticketed and/or towed.

Be a good neighbor: Don’t block driveways. Always slow down and stop for pedestrians at crosswalks, and stay alert – kids, strollers, scooters, and families are everywhere.

Visitor & Family Parking: Use open, undesignated spots or park off-site on Goldenrod Avenue, Sea Lane, or Harbor View Drive. Parking a bit further away and taking a little stroll is often the quickest, least stressful option.

No Parking Zones: Please avoid red zones and designated spots, even “just for a minute.”

Harbor View Staff monitors the Goldenrod crosswalk during drop-off and pick-up times: Morning: 8:05-8:17 am, Afternoon: 2:55-3:15 pm

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Stay in your car in the drop-off/pick-up lane. We love a good reunion as much as anyone, but the parking lot is not the place for a long embrace. Please keep traffic moving.

Gate access: For grades 1-6, the Upper parking lot gate, Goldenrod gate, and CYC gate are open for arrival and dismissal.

No Red Zones: Do not drop off or pick up in any red zones.

Designated Unloading/ Loading Zones:

Upper parking lot: Enter the drop-off zone in front of the office before letting your children out. Remain in your car at all times.
Goldenrod: Pull forward beyond the pedestrian crosswalk before unloading. Remain in your car at all times for efficiency and safety.
Do not drop off or pick up in red zones.

Early Departure
Students may only leave campus with a parent/guardian or on a school-approved trip. Only adults listed in Aeries as Emergency Contacts may pick up a student. All early departures must be signed out in the office.

Arrival & Dismissal Tips:

Plan for Patience: New dismissal times are closer together —parking lots will be busier than usual.

Grades 1-6: Upper parking lot gate, Goldenrod gate, and CYC gates will all be open for arrival and dismissal. Grades 1-6 Drop-Off times: 8:05-8:20am.
TK: Use the Goldenrod gate for arrival and dismissal.
Preschool & Kindergarten: Follow the drop-off and pick-up protocol from Preschool & Kindergarten staff. A parent/guardian must walk students to and from the appropriate location.
Early Release Wednesdays: Dismissal at 1:22pm or 1:28pm (depending on the grade).
