Harbor View PFO is excited to announce this year’s musical Moana Jr. !

The first 35 students (5th-6th grade) who register and audition will be cast.  

Performances @ Harbor View Elementary School Multi Purpose Room (MPR) and stage 

• Friday, March 15th 2024 at 7pm

• Saturday, March 16th 2024 at 2pm & 6pm

• Sunday, March 17th 2024 at 2 pm

• Cast Party March 17th 5pm

6th grade students will have a 1 day advance opportunity to register. Please note: spots fill up quickly. 

Please read the important information below

This experience will provide 12 weeks (60+ hours) of theater instruction provided by Arts & Learning Conservatory as well as the opportunity to perform for family and friends in our school theater. 

Please carefully review the dates and discuss the commitment with your child. There are 16 rehearsal dates (including a busy tech week) and 3 days of performances. It is VERY important that your child attend ALL rehearsals, tech week, and performances. If your child cannot make this commitment, please do not register for the play. We do not cast understudies and all roles cast are important to the success of the play. Please also note that all students will be expected to abide by a behavior contract with a three-strike rule.

• 11/27 (9am – 5pm) – 6th Grade Priority Registration
• 11/28  (5pm – until all 35 spots are filled) – General Registration 5-6th Graders

TIPS: Make sure you have a solid internet connection. It is advised to try to register using something other than your phone. Spots will fill up within minutes. Please do not call the school front office regarding registration. 

COST: A donation of $300 per participant is requested for tuition. The production of this play is not a fundraiser. Tuition and ticket sales are what mostly cover the cost of this wonderful experience. The $300 represents $4.25 per hour for 60 + hours of theater instruction.

December 1st, 6-8 pm → Many parent volunteer positions are needed and will be explained at this meeting.

Wednesday 12/6, 1:30pm – 3:30pm →  All Cast Auditions (for all roles including ensemble)
Friday 12/8, 3pm – 5pm → Callbacks (for those called back)

Rehearsals – HVE MPR

• First Rehearsal Date will be Wednesday, January 10th, 2024.
• Students must be picked up from each rehearsal promptly.
• No Rehearsals: Presidents’ Week (February 19-23, 2024)
• Rehearsals are twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays immediately after school. 

Two hour rehearsals for 6 weeks: 

Wednesdays 1:30-3:30

Fridays 3:15-5:15

Three hour rehearsal for two weeks 

After Presidents’ Recess, we will increase to three hours for the last four rehearsals Wednesdays 1:30 – 4:30  Friday 3:15 – 6:15

Tech Crew

This years kid crew will have 8 team members. For students interested in joining our tech team, registration will be held separately in January.
